our why...
After decades of helping others plan, perform, and deliver exceptional service in the luxury hospitality space, I realized something: the travelers I connected with most weren’t looking for flashy—they were looking for real. They wanted experiences that felt effortless yet unforgettable, personalized yet unpretentious. And they wanted someone who truly understood the power of travel.

When I first began travelling the world, my dad and grandparents were very curious about my desire to explore. From following my flights, informing me about the weather in my intended destination to encouraging me to share my travel stories, they lived vicariously through me. I would send post cards from every destination to give them the reassurance that I was ok and didn't succumb to any of the perceived dangers their imagination would conjure.

As I became a parent myself, they began to share why they were so concerned about my wanderlust.
FEAR
Fear of the unknown, fear of flying on planes (especially those prop planes!), fear of not knowing the language, fear of traveling alone and fear for my safety.

I started Audrey James Travel to serve people like me — seasoned travelers who are ready to make the most of their time, and who see travel as a way to reconnect with themselves, their partners, their passions, and the world. And also people like my dad and grandparents - those who fear leaving their comfort zone and trust me to help them overcome their fears and learn to appreciate the gifts we're afforded daily.

Audrey is in honor of my grandmother, who shared her love of music and dreams of travelling the world. James is in honor of my dad, who religiously kept every one of the postcards I sent him over the years and joined Facebook so he could live vicariously through the visual stories my pictures told.
